A ramp for disabled people has been installed in the historic post office building in Nicosia
A ramp for disabled people has been constructed in the historic post office building in Nicosia, which houses the postal service directorate.
In her written statement, the head of the postal department, Fatma Baysal, stated that they consider the lack of accessible facilities for the disabled as a serious deficiency, so the decision was made to install a ramp for citizens with limited mobility to facilitate entry and exit from the department for visitors with disabilities.
After conducting the necessary measurements, the ramp for disabled people was installed in compliance with certain requirements to preserve the appearance of the historic building.
It is expected that special facilities for citizens with disabilities will be installed in other branches of postal departments where needed in the near future.
