Young Man Killed, Three Injured in a Serious Crash in Yeni Erenköy
A tragic traffic accident in Northern Cyprus has claimed the life of a young man and left three others injured.
According to police reports, the accident occurred on Tuesday evening around 8:00 PM in front of the Yeni Erenköy Medical Center. Two cars, traveling in the same direction, collided.
The impact sent one vehicle off the road, crashing into the metal railings of a residential building before overturning in a garden. The second car also veered off the road and came to a stop on the sidewalk.
Tragically, the driver of the first vehicle, 23-year-old Umut Göksal, died at the scene. The second car’s driver, a 25-year-old man, and two passengers in his vehicle, aged 16 and 18, sustained serious injuries. All three were rushed to Famagusta State Hospital, where they remain under medical care.
Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the fatal crash.
