200 Houses in Nicosia to be Connected to Central Sewage System
The Nicosia Turkish Municipality (Lefkoşa Türk Belediyesi) is implementing a new infrastructure project in the Küçük Kaymaklı district.
As part of the project, three streets — Özer Elmas, Muharrem Özdemir, and Ercan Turgut — will be connected to the central sewage network. The cost of the works will be approximately 11 million Turkish Liras, allowing about 200 houses to connect to the modern sewage system.
The works are expected to last about 180 days. During this period, 850 meters of new sewage lines will be laid, expanding the central infrastructure of the area.
The project contract was signed by Mayor Mehmet Harmancı and the Director of Sıtkıoğulları Construction Ltd., Sıtkı Sıtkıoğlu.
According to Harmancı, the authorities continue to strengthen the capital's infrastructure, alongside a larger 83 million lira project to modernize the main sewage lines.
