Three people detained in drug case in Lefkoşa, Northern Cyprus
On 12 December 2025 in Lefkoşa, Northern Cyprus, three individuals were detained as a result of an operation conducted by officers of the Crime Prevention Department of the Lefkoşa Police Directorate.
During a search of the suspects’ residence, police discovered and seized a substance believed to be a narcotic — allegedly cannabis — with a total weight of approximately 30 grams.
The detainees are C.E. (male, 19), A.G. (male, 19), and A.E. (male, 20). Case materials and the seized items have been registered as physical evidence.
Criminal proceedings have been initiated against the individuals, and the investigation is ongoing. Residents of Lefkoşa and other areas are advised to await official police statements as the investigation develops.
