Mass Pile-up Involving Four Vehicles Occurs in Nicosia
A multi-vehicle pile-up occurred this morning on Gazeteci Abdi İpekçi Avenue in Nicosia.
According to preliminary information, three cars and one motorcycle were involved in the accident. The crash took place while people were using a pedestrian crossing. Eyewitnesses report that the lead car slowed down abruptly, after which the vehicles following behind were unable to brake in time and collided with each other.
The motorcyclist also could not avoid the collision and crashed into the cars.
Police and medical teams arrived promptly at the scene. According to witnesses, one woman narrowly escaped injury, managing to avoid being hit at the last moment.
Local residents noted that such incidents occur regularly in this area due to the lack of a traffic light.
Following the accident, traffic was temporarily managed under controlled conditions. An investigation into the incident has been launched.
