Foreign national detained in Lefkosa for illegal work on a tourist visa
On Friday, February 6, 2026, at around 17:00, an incident of illegal employment was identified in Lefkosa during police inspections.
According to the police, a 33-year-old man with the initials M.T. entered the country on a 60-day tourist visa; however, despite this, he was working as a waiter in a restaurant in the Ortaköy area.
Due to the violation of migration legislation, the man was detained, and the investigation is ongoing.
