Planned power outages in Magusa and Iskele
On Tuesday, September 23, 2025, scheduled power outages will take place in several settlements of the Magusa (Mağusa) and Iskele districts. According to the company KIB-TEK, electricity supply will be interrupted from 09:00 to 15:00 due to maintenance work on the Geçitkale transformer substation.
The outages will affect the following settlements and areas: Akova, Yıldırım, nearby areas and livestock farms (ağıllar), Cemer Su, Alaniçi, Dörtyol and its surroundings, Pirhan, İnönü, Sütlüce, Pınarlı, Ulukışla, Aslanköy including military facilities in the area, as well as Gönendere, Tirmen, Ergenekon, Geçitkale and its surrounding ağıllar, Çamlıca, Boğaziçi, Sınırüstü and Ötüken.
The electricity company urged residents of these areas to take the necessary precautions in advance and keep in mind that electricity supply will be completely suspended for six hours.
