In Mehmetçik, a 3-month-old child died, police launched investigation
A three-month-old baby named Roham Tan Kızıltan passed away on the morning of September 7 in Mehmetçik. According to the police press service, around 06:00 the infant suddenly became unwell in bed; the family took him to the Mehmetçik medical center, from where he was evacuated by ambulance to the Famagusta State Hospital. Despite resuscitation efforts, the child could not be saved.
The police press service stated that the exact cause of death will be determined after the autopsy. An investigation is ongoing, and circumstances are being clarified.
For residents of Northern Cyprus, this means that official conclusions will only be known after the forensic examination and investigative procedures are completed. Parents and guardians of infants are advised to immediately go to the nearest medical facility or call an ambulance in case of any sudden deterioration, and to preserve all medical documents for the investigation.
