In Nicosia and Ercan, temperatures will rise to 40°C: Weather forecast for July 17

According to the TRNC Meteorology Department, on Wednesday, July 17, the region will be affected by low pressure and humid air. Meteorologists predict clear, slightly cloudy weather with no precipitation.

Temperatures will rise 2-3°C above the seasonal norms. The hottest weather today is expected in Nicosia and Ercan, with temperatures reaching up to 40°C. In Lapta and Esentepe, temperatures will be around 31-32°C.

Winds will be southwesterly and moderate in strength. No storms are expected today.

Two meteorological warnings remain in effect for Northern Cyprus. The risk of wildfires remains high, and ultraviolet radiation levels are also high.

It is advised not to stay under the sun for more than 15 minutes, especially between 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM, without taking necessary precautions.
