Traffic Restrictions on Two Central Streets in Nicosia for Three Days
From August 30th to September 1st, traffic will be regulated on Bedrettin Demirel Street and Osman Örek Street in Nicosia due to ongoing infrastructure projects.
These restrictions are necessary for the reconstruction of the main sewage line in Ortaköy, as well as road and infrastructure work for the new Presidential and Parliamentary complexes.
During this period, Bedrettin Demirel Avenue will be closed in both directions between the Salih Mecit Street intersection (about 50 meters past KIBTEK) and the Open University next to the Merit Hotel.
Drivers traveling south on the avenue (from the direction of the Prime Minister’s office) are advised to take Salih Mecit Street. Drivers heading north (from the Ministry of Finance) should use Atatürk Avenue as an alternative route.
Osman Örek Avenue, between the Dereboyu traffic light and the Metehan roundabout, will also be closed in both directions. Residents and business owners located south of Osman Örek Street will have access through the first exit.
Motorists are urged to follow all traffic signs and signals.
