“4th Atatürk Children’s Art Exhibition” Opens in Nicosia
The 4th Atatürk Children’s Art Exhibition has opened at the Nicosia Cultural and Events Hall, marking the 105th anniversary of April 23rd – National Sovereignty and Children’s Day.
The exhibition was officially inaugurated by President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) Ersin Tatar, Minister of National Education Nazım Çavuşoğlu, and Director of the Department of Primary Education Hakkı Başarı.
During the ceremony, President Tatar congratulated the children on their special day, highlighting that in today’s world, children raised with an appreciation for art, culture, music, and sports are more likely to grow into successful individuals—just as envisioned by the great leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.
The exhibition showcases artworks by around 300 students from 23 primary schools, 10 preschools, and 2 special education schools across the Nicosia region. Featured themes include “Atatürk and Children,” “Children and Dreams,” “Children and the Environment,” “Children and Happiness,” and “April 23 – Children’s Day.”
The exhibition is open to the public until April 24.
