A concert in honor of World Children's Day will take place in Nicosia
This weekend, Northern Cyprus will commemorate World Children's Day with a special concert organized by the Children's and Polyphonic Youth Choir of the Nicosia Municipal Orchestra (LBO).
According to LTB, the children's choirs of LBO, celebrating their 10th anniversary this year, will continue their work as part of the Nicosia Municipal Orchestra.
Scheduled for Friday, May 31, at 8:00 PM, the special concert will be conducted by Oskay Hodja for the orchestra and Hare Yakula for the choir. The venue will be the Cultural Center of Rauf Denktash University (Eski Mysirlizade Cinema).
The choir artists will perform a repertoire consisting of classic children's melodies in their unique arrangements, along with traditional Cypriot songs. The concert will conclude with all choirs performing together the songs “Let Children Be Born in Peace” and “My Vapurum Üç Borulu.”
