Strict restrictions introduced on hunting days: when you can go out and how to transport weapons

Hunters were reminded of the current rules regarding the time allowed for hunting, transportation of firearms, and required documents. Violation of any point entails criminal liability.
According to the established regulations, on hunting days it is forbidden to be on dirt roads with a firearm before 04:00 and after 19:00.
A hunting rifle must be transported disassembled into two parts and placed in a case or box.
• In vehicles with a trunk, the weapon must be kept in the trunk compartment.
• In vehicles without a trunk — in the cabin or cargo space, also disassembled and in a case.
Even if the rifle is separated into two parts, transporting it without a case or box is prohibited.
Additionally, possession and use of a firearm without a valid registration document, storage permit, or hunting license is a criminal offense.
It is also emphasized that storage and use of ammunition originating from the Republic of Cyprus (South Cyprus) is illegal.
Even with a hunting permit, the owner is prohibited from taking the weapon out of the house or transporting it in a vehicle before midnight without special permission from the district administration.
All these measures aim to ensure safety and compliance with regulations during hunting activities.
