A Multi-Functional Memorial Park with Parking to Be Built in Ortaköy
A cooperation protocol has been signed between the Turkish Municipality of Nicosia (LTB) and the Chamber of Civil Engineers (IMO) for the "Development of a Green Zone, Memorial Park, and Parking Lot Project.”
According to a statement from the municipality, the agreement will include the enhancement of a green space on Remzi Genenç Street.
The park, which will be constructed on green land in Ortaköy, is designed to promote environmental awareness in line with sustainable urban principles. It will feature a memorial monument dedicated to IMO members who lost their lives, as well as an amphitheater and parking facilities.
The statement also emphasized that the project will use eco-friendly, modern materials and is expected to be completed within six months.
According to Mehmet Harmancı, president of LTB, the project will be located in a densely populated area that has become a key hub for the healthcare sector. He also mentioned that the park will be a significant addition to the capital.
