North Cyprus Sees Its First Traffic Accident of 2025 with No Injuries Reported
The first traffic accident of the new year in North Cyprus took place in Lefkoşa. Thankfully, no one was injured in the incident.

According to a statement from the police press office, the accident occurred on Osman Örek Street and was caused by a drunk driver.
The driver, 48-year-old Ismail Volkan, was under the influence of alcohol while heading east. As he approached a traffic light, his Citroën collided with a car that had stopped for the red light.
Volkan was arrested on the spot for driving under the influence of alcohol.
