KIB-TEK to Cut Power for Debtors on Monday
The Cyprus Turkish Electricity Authority (KIB-TEK) has warned that it will disconnect electricity for overdue accounts. According to the utility provider, power will be cut off from delinquent customers on Monday, August 5.
KIB-TEK's announcement states that, due to the need to collect outstanding debts, electricity will be disconnected on Monday, August 5, 2024, for all individuals and businesses with overdue bills from July 2024 or earlier, where the debt exceeds 675 TL.
Additionally, electricity will also be cut off for all private and business customers with unpaid bills that were being paid in installments under legal agreements with the authority.
To avoid service interruptions, customers are urged to settle their outstanding debts.
