Two More Streets in Nicosia's Old City to Become Pedestrian Zones
Two streets in the old city of Nicosia, located in the TRNC, will be converted into pedestrian zones. A tender has been announced for the construction work.
According to the Turkish Municipality of Nicosia (LTB), the Council for Culture and Tourism has issued a tender for pedestrianizing Kyrenia and Iplik Pazari Streets.
Kyrenia Street will be pedestrianized from the Is Bank intersection heading south, while Iplik Pazari Street will be fully pedestrianized.
The estimated cost of the tender is just under 5.5 million Turkish lira (145,661 euros), and the tender is open until September 12.
