TRNC Marks 454th Anniversary of the Conquest of Nicosia
On September 9, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) commemorated the 454th anniversary of the conquest of Nicosia with a solemn ceremony. The event took place at 9:00 a.m. in front of the Monument to the Martyrs of Nicosia.
Following official protocol, wreaths were laid at the monument, after which there was a moment of silence. Flags were then raised to the sound of the National Anthem.
The ceremony was attended by Vice President Ünal Üstel, Speaker of the Assembly Zorlu Töre, Nicosia District Governor Cemal Kuyucu, representatives from the Security Forces Command, military officials, and delegates from political parties, institutions, and other officials.
