Rehabilitation Center for Elderly and Disabled People to Be Built in the TRNC
A protocol has been signed for the construction of a Rehabilitation Center for elderly people and disabled individuals over 18 years old in "Yeni Erenköy" in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC). The TRNC Prime Minister, Ünal Üstel, met with Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş, Turkey’s Minister of Family and Social Services, who arrived on the island for discussions.

The agreement was formalized at the conclusion of their meeting. The contract was signed by the TRNC Minister of Labour and Social Welfare, Sadık Gardiyanoğlu, and the director of Fenercioğlu Construction and Construction Ltd.
Under the terms of the protocol, the rehabilitation center for elderly and disabled people in "Yeni Erenköy" is expected to be completed and ready for use within 18 months.
In his speech during the signing ceremony, Prime Minister Ünal Üstel emphasized that the construction of the rehabilitation center will provide comfort for both disabled individuals over 18 and elderly people, a need that, according to Turkey’s Minister of Family and Social Services, Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş, is critical in Northern Cyprus.
The Minister of Labour and Social Welfare noted that the project, which will consist of two separate buildings on a single site, is expected to cost approximately 45 million Turkish liras.
Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş also highlighted the ongoing collaboration with the TRNC Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare across various sectors, emphasizing the significance of implementing such a project for the Turkish Cypriot community.
