Three New Medical Centers to Be Established in the TRNC
Contracts have been signed with the contractors who won the tenders to build three new medical centers in Değirmenlik, Varosha, and Lapta in Northern Cyprus.
According to TRNC Health Minister Hakan Dinçyürek, the tender processes for these three significant social projects have been completed. The signing of the documents took place yesterday at the Ministry of Health.
The final project plans will be submitted this week, with groundbreaking ceremonies for the three new medical centers scheduled for next week.
One of the projects is the Health Center in Değirmenlik, which will cover an area of 680 square meters and is estimated to cost 28.479 million Turkish lira.
The construction of this facility will be funded through local resources, with financing provided from the TRNC budget.
The Health Center in Varosha will be built on a 1,000-square-meter site, with the project valued at 51.921 million Turkish lira. The funding for this project will be fully provided by the Republic of Turkey.
The tender for the construction of the medical center in Lapta has also been completed. This project involves expanding, modernizing, and relocating the existing medical facility to a new, modern building that will better serve the district's needs.
The project, which has a five-month tender period, is valued at 21.125 million Turkish lira.
Of this amount, 16.125 million Turkish lira will be provided from the TRNC Health Fund, with the remaining funds allocated by the Republic of Turkey.
