On the second day of Kurban Bayram celebrations in Northern Cyprus, there were 4 accidents
According to the police press service, on June 17, there were four accidents resulting in 9 vehicles being involved and three people sustaining injuries. Two drivers responsible for accidents while intoxicated have been arrested.
The first accident occurred around 14:15 in Iskele, caused by a drunk 48-year-old driver who collided with another vehicle at the intersection of Unimar Circle and Granel Circle near Long Beach Medical Center. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
The second accident happened around 18:50 at the 31-32 kilometers mark on the main Ercan to Iskele road. A 28-year-old driver lost control, veered off the road, and hit a tree without injuring anyone.
Investigations into both accidents are ongoing.
