Almost Two Thousand Drivers Checked in Northern Cyprus in One Day
Police checked 1,922 vehicle drivers on the roads of Northern Cyprus. Among them, 421 violations were detected.
According to the police press service, the raids took place yesterday across the entire country. As usual, the most common violation was speeding, with 175 cases.
Additionally, 45 drivers failed to obey traffic signals, 43 were caught using their phones while driving, 21 forgot to fasten their seatbelts, 19 were driving without a license, and five were found driving under the influence of alcohol. The remaining violations were of other types.
Moreover, 30 vehicles were prohibited from moving, and one driver was arrested.
