Tomorrow, the first stage of entrance exams to colleges will take place in the TRNC
The first stage of entrance exams to colleges will take place tomorrow in North Cyprus. A total of 2,220 people will try to enter educational institutions.
According to the Department of Education and Discipline, the exam will be held in 8 colleges: Türk Maarif Koleji, Bülent Ecevit Anadolu Lisesi, Girne 19 Mayıs TMK, Gazimağusa TMK, Güzelyurt TMK, İskele Evkaf Türk Maarif Koleji, Hala Sultan İlahiyat Koleji, and Lefke Gazi Lisesi.
The exams will be held in two sessions: the first will take place from 09:00 to 10:30, and the second from 11:00 to 12:30. A total of 249 teachers and experts will work at these eight centers during the exam.
The college entrance exam will consist of five subjects: "Turkish Language," "Science and Technology," "Social Sciences," "English Language," and "Mathematics."
Each subtest is conducted by committees consisting of experts and experienced teachers in their fields. Booklets with questions to be used in the exam are printed at the Ministry's printing center under the supervision of senior officials 48 hours before the exam. Booklets with questions are delivered to the exam centers on the day of the exam under the supervision of controllers.
After the exam, booklets with questions and answer keys will be published on the Ministry's official website www.mebnet.net. It is expected that the exam results will be announced on the same evening after the answer sheets are checked using an optical scanner.
The second stage of entrance exams to colleges is planned to be held on June 8.
Based on the scores obtained in these two stages, students will have the right to register in colleges for the 2024-2025 academic year according to quota numbers and ranking lists, which will be created based on entrance scores.
