A resident of Bafra was caught growing cannabis in the forest
Teams from the Iskele Police Department arrested a man who was cultivating cannabis in a forested area. Marijuana bushes were found at the detainee's residence.
According to the police press service, a suspicious 36-year-old man was spotted in the forested area in Bafra yesterday afternoon, around 13:30.
Police arrested the suspect while he was tending to a plant, presumably one of the cannabis varieties. The police do not provide any details about the detainee, only his initials - Ö.Y.
Later, during a search of his home in Bafra, plants presumably belonging to cannabis varieties were found, as well as a grinder containing drug residues, and materials used for caring for marijuana.
