Christmas Markets and Festivities in Northern Cyprus

Christmas in Northern Cyprus is an amazing combination of sun, sea, palm trees, and the true festive spirit. Even though there is no snow here, the holiday atmosphere can be felt everywhere: shop and restaurant windows are decorated with Christmas trees, garlands, gifts, and reindeer, while thousands of lights shine on the streets.

Christmas Markets 2025

Festive markets and festivals take place all over Northern Cyprus. It's a great opportunity to feel the Christmas spirit, try local dishes, find unique gifts, and enjoy live music.

December 20–21, 2025 — New Year Bazaar in Nicosia. Held in the old town, on İplik Pazarı Sokak. Organized by the Nicosia Youth Association with support from the municipality. Guests can enjoy street food, workshops, craft stalls, and live music.

December 6–7 and 13–14, 2025 — SoHouse Christmas Market in Kyrenia. Two weekends of real Christmas magic: hot mulled wine, handmade gifts, street food, photo zones, and live music.

December 7, 2025 — Christmas Market at Bonni Café in the village of Templos (Zeytinlik). Over 40 stalls, a kids’ zone, face art, and music by DJ Barisso. A warm and joyful atmosphere for the whole family. Location: Direniş Cd, Zeytinlik

December 7, 2025 — Christmas Market at Cafe5 (Famagusta). Local artisans will showcase handmade items, designer jewelry, and festive souvenirs.

December 14, 2025 — the traditional Christmas Market will be held at the cozy Suna’s restaurant in Lapta. The event will last all day, offering guests the true holiday spirit with the aroma of mulled wine, live music, and surprises.

The market starts at 9:00 AM. The day begins with a festive Sunday brunch until 2:00 PM. Brunch costs 999 TL for adults and 499 TL for children aged 6 to 12. Children under 6 attend for free. It is important to note that brunch is optional: visiting the market and the concert program remains free for all guests. Brunch reservations are required in advance. From 10:00 AM, the handmade crafts market opens, featuring exclusive handmade gifts, Christmas decorations, and sweets. Visitors can purchase unique souvenirs, enjoy homemade treats, and try Suna’s signature mulled wine.

At 12:30 PM, the concert program begins with live performances of popular hits in Russian and English. Guests will enjoy energetic acts, festive moods, and dancing to DJ music.

The highlight of the day will be the raffle of prizes from Suna’s and partners, with the grand prize being a new iPhone 17! After the raffle, the festivities continue late into the evening with favorite Christmas tunes.

December 14, 2025 — Publik Christmas Market in the historic district of Kaleiçi, Famagusta. From 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Pazar Publik, guests can enjoy a unique market with live music and a special menu from chefs: mulled wine, hot chocolate, and wood-fired pizza.

21 December 2025 — Zagidas Cafe in İskele. From 12:00 to 18:00, a Christmas market will take place on the cafe premises.

26-27-28 December 2025 — CARETTA WORLD CAFE RESTAURANT&BAR in İskele. From 14:00 to 22:00, a Christmas market will take place on the cafe premises.

Workshops and Creative Activities

In December, Northern Cyprus hosts many Christmas workshops where you can create holiday decorations, gifts, and even learn to make sushi!
