Name of the cities of Northern Cyprus in Turkish and Greek

The territory of Cyprus has been inhabited for centuries by Greeks, Turks and immigrants from Iran, Arab and European countries. Due to the mixing of cultures and languages, the main towns and districts of northern Cyprus have different names in Turkish and Greek. The most important places are listed below:
- Girne - Kyrenia
- Gazimağusa - Famagusta
- Lefkoşa - Nicosia
- Güzelyurt - Morfou
- Iskele - Trikomo
