How much does petrol cost in Northern Cyprus — current prices and petrol stations in Northern Cyprus
If you plan to explore Northern Cyprus by car, estimate your fuel expenses in advance: the government regulates prices, and changes are published officially and take effect the day after they appear in the “Official Gazette.”
Fuel prices in Northern Cyprus
Fuel prices in the TRNC are set by the government and are periodically reviewed. During high inflation, this helps keep costs stable between official adjustments.
Current maximum prices (as of October 29, 2025):
- 95 Octane Petrol — 46.12 TL/l
- 98 Octane Petrol — 47.12 TL/l
- Euro Diesel — 45.25 TL/l
- Kerosene — 44.06 TL/l
Important: these are uniform maximum prices across all of Northern Cyprus. The values displayed at petrol stations will be the same or lower (if promotions apply), but never higher. New tariffs usually come into effect the day after their publication in the “Official Gazette.”
