What is the fine for overstaying a visa in Northern Cyprus?
On Northern Cyprus, a tourist visa usually allows a stay of 30 days.
However, in some cases, the border authorities may stamp a 60-day stay, very rarely — 90 days, and sometimes even 15 days.

Overstay Visa Penalty
If you exceed the permitted stay on Northern Cyprus, you will be fined upon departure. The fine for each day of overstay is equal to one minimum DAILY salary (gross) on the day the fine is calculated.
- As of November 2025, the fine is 2363.16 Turkish Lira per day of overstay.

If your tourist visa has expired, the fine must be paid directly at the airport when leaving Northern Cyprus. If you do not have the means to pay the fine, you can settle the debt upon your next entry to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. The amount is fixed in Turkish Lira and no interest is charged.
