If you came to Cyprus not only for the beaches but also for its underwater wonders, below is a list of dive centers in the southern part of the island where you can take courses, rent equipment, and organize dives to local spots (including the legendary “Zenobia”).

Courses and Dive Formats

Diving in Cyprus is available for everyone — from beginners to professionals. Almost all centers offer international PADI and SSI courses — Open Water Diver, Advanced Open Water Diver, as well as trial dives (Intro Dive), fun dives for certified divers, and night dives. You can also rent equipment and arrange organized transfers to famous spots such as Zenobia, Cynthiana Reef, or Green Bay.

  • Seasonality: Diving is available year-round, but the peak water temperature is from May to November.
  • Temperature and Visibility: In summer, the water warms up to 28°C with visibility reaching 25–30 m; in winter, 16–18°C, while remaining clear.
  • Popular Spots: Zenobia (Larnaca) — one of the best diving sites in the world; Nemesis III (Protaras) — an artificial reef; Green Bay — ideal for beginners; Cape Greco — grottos and underwater arches; Coral Bay — gentle dives and underwater walls.
  • Fauna: At depth, you may encounter barracudas, octopuses, turtles, sea anemones, and even seahorses.
  • Tip: If planning to dive the “Zenobia,” check requirements — usually an AOWD level and a minimum of 20 dives are needed.
