Planetarium in Cyprus
Since 3 June 2023, one of the largest planetariums in Europe and the largest in the Eastern Mediterranean has been open in Cyprus. The ambitious project was designed by the well-known architect Angelos Savvidis. The sponsor was a Russian businessman. It is located near the village of Episkopio and combines a science center, an entertainment space, and a leisure area for the whole family.

What the planetarium is
The new planetarium near the village of Episkopio is a large-scale science and entertainment complex designed to explore space, astronomy, and modern visualization technologies.
The central feature of the complex is a huge dome, inside which is a projection system creating the effect of full immersion in the starry sky. Visitors can observe the movement of planets, stars, and galaxies in real time.
