Kalikandzari in CVAR: myths, games, and transformations

An educational and play program for children dedicated to the Kalikandzari — mythical creatures that, according to legend, appear during this time of year.
Through theatrical role-playing games, participants will meet the "gang" of Kalikandzari and learn how Cypriots protected themselves from their pranks. Children will transform into scary Kalikandzari themselves and act out their mischief directly within the museum space. During the session, participants will play with words of the Cypriot dialect, create short scenes, and also invent and draw their own Kalikandzari, developing imagination and creative thinking.
