Piano Concert: Vitaly Pisarenko
Pharos Arts Foundation opens the 2026 season with a solo concert by the outstanding pianist Vitaly Pisarenko — laureate of major international piano competitions, including the Franz Liszt Piano Competition and the Leeds International Piano Competition.
The musician, who has captivated audiences at Wigmore Hall in London, Musikverein in Vienna, Mozarteum in Salzburg, and Salle Cortot in Paris, returns to Nicosia with a program that combines the depth of Romantic lyricism with virtuosic breadth.
On this evening, Schubert’s Four Impromptus D.935 — one of the composer’s most mature and grand piano works — will be performed, along with brilliant paraphrases by Franz Liszt on opera masterpieces by Wagner and Bellini. The program presents the piano as an orchestra — full of drama, color, and emotional power.
