Crossing Paths: A Concert Series

Sistema Cyprus presents a series of two concerts dedicated to the creative development of young musicians. On March 14, at the Larnaca Municipal Theatre "G. Lykourgos," wind, string, and percussion orchestras from Larnaca and Nicosia will perform. The program features works from different eras and cultures, including excerpts from Georges Bizet's opera "Carmen" and Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's "Romeo and Juliet" overture. A special highlight will be the debut performance of the Larnaca Beginner Orchestra. On April 5, the Satiriko Theatre in Nicosia will host the second concert, featuring the Junior String and Percussion Orchestra and the debut of the Beginner Strings Orchestra under Anastasia Nicolaidou. The series is directed by Maestro Santiago Ossa Alzate. The project reflects Sistema Cyprus's mission to support children and youth, including migrants and refugees, through music education and social integration.
