The Flute Through the Centuries | Flute & Piano Recital

Step into a musical time machine and allow yourself to travel from the Renaissance to the present day — all in one evening at the atmospheric Cyprus Wine Museum. International artists Florian Rabe (flute) and Birgitta Birchall (piano) will guide you through an exciting journey across five and a half centuries of music — from John Dowland to Bach, Mozart, Schumann, Reinecke, and others.

About the performers:
Birgitta Birchall
Studied at the Music Conservatory and University of Gothenburg (Sweden). She has worked in Sweden and the UK as a teacher, conductor, examiner, and performer (piano, organ, harpsichord). Highlights of her career include masterclasses with Pierre Cochereau in Nice and Baroque performances with oboist Malcolm Messiter. Today she brings her passion for authentic music performance to Cyprus.
Florian Rabe
Originally from Germany, trained in classical flute and performed with orchestras in Germany and the UK. Now based in Cyprus, he specializes in chamber music and is known for expressive performances with the *FluBoe Trio* in the *Music in the Mountains* concert series.
