20-Year-Old Arrested for Indecent Behavior Near University of Cyprus
Police in Nicosia have arrested a 20-year-old man after he was reportedly seen engaging in indecent behavior near the University of Cyprus.
According to authorities, the incident occurred around 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Concerned members of the public contacted the police after witnessing the young man acting in a way that made passersby uncomfortable. Officers quickly arrived on the scene and took the suspect into custody.
He was examined by a psychiatrist, who found no signs of mental illness.
The suspect is expected to appear before the Nicosia District Court today. Police have not released further details about the nature of the incident or the man’s behavior near the university.
