Rain, Snow, and Frost Continue in Cyprus on March 20
According to the Cyprus Meteorology Department, cold air masses and weak low pressure will continue to affect the region on Thursday, March 20. However, a shift to weak high pressure is expected from Saturday onward.
This morning, skies will be partly cloudy, occasionally turning overcast, with scattered rain and snow possible in the higher mountains.
Daytime temperatures are forecast to reach around 12°C inland, 15°C along the coast, and just 1°C in the mountains, where frost is expected in some areas.
Tonight, increased cloud cover may bring light rain in some areas and snowfall in the mountains.
Overnight temperatures will drop to around 4°C inland, 6°C on the coast, and as low as -4°C in the mountains, where frost is likely to form.
As of the latest update, the snow depth is 3 cm in Troodos and 4 cm in Chionistra.
On Friday, most areas will see clear skies, though isolated light showers may occur in the mountains.
By Sunday, temperatures are expected to rise gradually, returning closer to seasonal averages.
