On January 24, cloudy weather with thunderstorms in the afternoon is expected in Cyprus

According to the Department of Meteorology of the Republic of Cyprus, weak low pressure will affect the region on Wednesday, January 24.

Today in the first half the weather will be mostly cloudy, with isolated showers and a brief thunderstorm possible in the afternoon. Winds will be mainly from the southwest and northwest, ranging from light to moderate.

Temperatures this afternoon are forecast to reach up to 18C in inland areas, 19C on the coast and up to 6C in mountainous areas, the Met Office said.

In the evening and at night, partly cloudy weather is expected, with isolated rain possible, mainly on the western and northern coasts. Light winds will blow from northwest to northeast.

Temperatures will drop to around 8°C in inland areas, 9°C on the southern and eastern coasts, 11°C on the western and northern coasts and 2°C in mountainous areas, where localized frosts are expected.
