51-year-old motorcyclist dies in accident in Limassol
A 51-year-old motorcyclist died after a collision with a van in Limassol, police reported on Friday.
The accident occurred around 20:30 on Thursday when the van crashed into the motorcycle near Moni. The victim sustained serious injuries and later died in a private hospital in Limassol.
Testing revealed that the 41-year-old van driver had 48 micrograms of alcohol in his blood. The legal limit is 22 micrograms. He was arrested after a court issued a warrant.
The investigation is ongoing. For residents, this means that authorities continue to investigate the fatal accident involving a drunk driver; possible legal consequences and further police actions will be announced as they arise.
