9-Year-Old Cypriot Ballerina Wins Bronze at World Championship in New York
Nine-year-old Cypriot ballerina Helen Zeniou clinched a bronze medal at the VKIBC World Championship in New York. The young dancer showcased two outstanding ballet performances during the competition.
The father of the ballerina expressed pride after his daughter secured the medal. He noted that her dedication and hard work in ballet training had finally paid off.
"She sacrifices a lot to become the best she can be," added the ballerina's father, expressing gratitude to her teacher, Sylvia Terzi.
The Valentina Kozlova International Ballet Competition (VKIBC) was established in 2011. The competition welcomes students from choreographic schools and aspiring artists in four age groups.
Valentina Kozlova, a former Bolshoi Theatre ballerina in Moscow and later a member of the City Ballet in New York, founded and directs the ballet school in New York.
