Cyprus Weather Forecast for May 9: Cloudy Skies and Morning Showers in the Mountains

The Department of Meteorology of the Republic of Cyprus has announced that weak high pressure and a warm air mass will affect the region on Friday, May 9. Some dust may also be present in the atmosphere at times.

During the morning hours, partly to mostly cloudy skies are expected, with increased mid- and high-level cloud cover. Isolated showers are likely in mountainous areas early in the day. The sea will be calm to slightly choppy.

Daytime temperatures are forecast to reach around 33°C inland, 28°C along the coast, and 26°C in the mountains.

In the evening, conditions will become mostly clear, with temperatures dropping to around 16°C inland and in the mountains, and 17°C in coastal areas.

Weekend Outlook:

• Saturday: Periods of increased cloud cover, mostly at mid and high altitudes.

• Sunday: Isolated showers or even thunderstorms are expected around midday and into the afternoon, mainly in the mountains.

• Monday: Mostly sunny and clear conditions return.
