SUSPECT IN SERIES OF KIOSK ROBBERIES WAS ARRESTED IN LIMASSOL

Limassol police have arrested a suspect believed to be involved in a series of kiosk robberies committed early on Wednesday morning. The man, armed with a stun gun, targeted a bakery and two shops.

According to the police press office, a 26-year-old man has been detained on suspicion of carrying out the bold robberies. Police officers apprehended the suspect as he was getting into a car, which was later discovered to be stolen.

It is noted that the arrest of the perpetrator was made possible thanks to surveillance camera footage.

Recall that the robberies in question took place in Limassol in the early morning hours. Armed with a knife and a stun gun, the perpetrator committed three robberies within three hours.

During the first robbery, the man entered a bakery in Mesa Geitonia and stole a donation box containing about 50 euros in cash.

Afterwards, he robbed a kiosk, stealing 450 euros from the cash register while threatening the cashier with a knife. Subsequently, he took 65 euros in cash from another kiosk located in the Pantei area.
