DEPY Association: deficit, bureaucracy, and the need for real change

The DEPY Association (ADHD) issued a strong statement pointing to systemic failures in support for children and adults with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. According to the organization’s representatives, families face constant obstacles — long waits for diagnosis, a shortage of specialized professionals, and limited access to therapy and medication.
Special attention is given to bureaucracy: even with a confirmed diagnosis, obtaining the necessary support in schools and medical institutions often turns into a lengthy and exhausting process. The association emphasizes that the current system does not reflect the real needs of people with ADHD and requires not cosmetic, but structural changes.
DEPY calls on the state to develop a comprehensive strategy that would include early diagnosis, access to treatment, specialist training, and real support for families, rather than formal solutions on paper.
