British Man Arrested at Paphos Airport with Cocaine in His Pocket
A 58-year-old British man was arrested at Paphos Airport after passing through customs with packets of cocaine in his pocket. The man was detained by the Anti-Narcotics Unit (YKAN).
According to the police press office, Customs officers stopped the British passenger, who had arrived on flight FR3131 from the UK, for a routine inspection.
While no illegal substances were found in his hand luggage, a personal search revealed two nylon packets containing 32 grams of white powder each in his trouser pocket.
A subsequent test confirmed the substance was cocaine. The drugs were seized, and the passenger was arrested and transferred to the police for further investigation.
