The number of tourists visiting Southern Cyprus in eight months exceeded 3 million
It was reported in Cyprus that during the first eight months of 2025, the number of tourists visiting Southern Cyprus exceeded 3 million, according to the newspaper Politis citing data from the Statistical Service.
According to the agency, the increase compared to the same period in 2024 was about 10%. The report states that in the first eight months of 2024 the number of tourists was 2,758,627, and in the current year — 3,003,155.
In August 2025, 602,026 tourists arrived in Cyprus, which is 8.5% more compared to August 2024 (554,923). In August, the share of British tourists was 32.1%.
The publication also notes an increase in the number of trips by residents of the Greek part of the island abroad: in August, their number increased by 23.9% — from 192,756 to 238,740.
