Cyprus Public Transport May Suspend School Transportation Services
Cyprus Public Transport may suspend transportation services for schoolchildren and students in Nicosia and Larnaca due to ongoing acts of vandalism against its buses.
Representatives of the company have formally requested that the Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Works halt certain school routes following incidents of vandalism affecting buses operating on these routes in Nicosia and Larnaca.
The company claims it has not received compensation for the significant damages incurred.
“As long as this behavior goes unchecked and unpunished, the company cannot continue to bear the costs of damages resulting from operating these routes,” the statement reads.
