Road Works on Nicosia and Larnaca Highways in September: Sections and Schedule

In September, road works are scheduled on key highways in the Nicosia and Larnaca areas, according to the Department of Public Works of Cyprus.

From September 1 to 11, 2025, on the A1 Nicosia–Limassol highway, between GSP Stadium and the Alambra exit, night works will be carried out to repair central barriers. Work is planned from 20:30 to 06:00, excluding Fridays and weekends, affecting both directions. During the works, one lane along the central divider will be partially closed in 500-meter sections, with traffic redirected to adjacent lanes.

In the Larnaca area, from September 1 to October 31, 2025, from 08:30 to 14:30, excluding weekends and public holidays, vegetation trimming and irrigation will take place along highway slopes, as well as around the "Kalu Choriou" and "Rizoelias" roundabouts. Work will be done in 300-meter stages, partially blocking the shoulder. Traffic will remain fully open.

The Department of Public Works urges drivers to follow temporary road signs and police instructions. Minor inconveniences are expected, especially on the Nicosia–Limassol highway at night. Residents and visitors to Cyprus are advised to plan their routes accordingly to avoid delays.
