Two teenagers arrested in Kornos burglary case
Two teenagers aged 18 and 17 were arrested on Monday night on suspicion of burglarizing a private house in Kornos. Two shotguns and more than €70,000 were stolen from the residence.
Earlier, on Sunday, another 17-year-old suspect was arrested and remanded in custody for seven days by the court for investigative purposes.
Police report that the house was burgled on Saturday night. According to the suspects' statements, after the theft, they went to a livestock farm in Aradippou, where they buried two shotguns and a safe containing the money.
A suspect pointed out the location of the farm. Investigators discovered and seized two shotguns and a safe with €72,950; the seized items are being held by the police.
The investigation is ongoing. No additional official information has been provided yet.
