The Head of the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs arrived in Cyprus on an official visit
Egypt's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sameh Shoukry, is making an official visit to Cyprus on Thursday. He was invited to the island by the country's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikos Christodoulides.
According to a statement from the Republic's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during the visit, Sameh Shoukry will have a private meeting with his Cypriot counterpart, followed by extended consultations involving delegations from both ministries.
After the consultations, the two ministers will make a joint statement to the media, followed by a working lunch hosted by Konstantinos Kombos.
Discussions will focus on bilateral relations and further deepening cooperation between Cyprus and Egypt, recent developments in the Cyprus issue, as well as regional events with an emphasis on the situation in the Middle East.
Earlier on Thursday morning, Sameh Shoukry will be received by the President of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides.
