U.S. Air Force Team to Visit Paphos Airbase
A U.S. Air Force emergency response assessment team is scheduled to visit the Andreas Papandreou Airbase in Paphos this week. The purpose of their visit is to provide recommendations to enhance Cyprus' operational compatibility with the United States.

Government spokesperson Constantinos Letymbiotis stated that the 435th Contingency Response Group, headquartered in Germany, will conduct the visit. Their main objective is to offer expert advice and recommendations on new infrastructure projects that will improve interoperability with the U.S. and other allied partners.
The evaluation will cover key areas such as airport operations, logistics, and communications, contributing to the modernization and upgrading of Cyprus' defense capabilities.
"Strengthening military cooperation with allied forces plays a critical role in maintaining peace and stability in the region," Letymbiotis emphasized.
