Iranian General Threatens Missile Strikes Against Cyprus
Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) General Sardar Jabbari has made a harsh statement, threatening intensified missile strikes against Cyprus. This was reported by the Iranian publication Khabar Fouri.
According to Jabbari, the reason for potential attacks is the alleged increase in the US military presence on the island.
"The Americans have moved most of their aircraft to Cyprus. We will launch such missile strikes against Cyprus that the US will be forced to leave the island," he stated.
There is currently no official confirmation regarding the deployment of the "majority" of US aircraft to Cyprus. The authorities of the Republic of Cyprus have previously emphasized that the country does not participate in military operations and does not intend to become a party to the conflict.
The statement comes amid ongoing escalation in the region and increased tension surrounding Western military facilities in the Eastern Mediterranean.
